I took five years of French and all I've got to show for it was a failing grade on the AP test and a couple bizarre French songs about girls turning into boys and masquerade parties.
Hee! I took Italian throughout my primary school and high school years and I'm half Italian with relatives who speak it at home and I went to Italy for a month last year. And I can still barely speak it. I think that some people just don't have the right brains for languages. (well, I hope that. The alternative is that I'm rather stupid).
