NYC, media, and whatnot

New York is cold. It makes me wish I was in London.

I cut my hand on a bagel this morning (while cutting it really.) Quite unfortunate.

On the good though: H&M!!!! Oh man I am so glad to get to go shopping in NYC! San Francisco is getting a H&M in the fall but it's not soon enough. The shopping possibilities here are positively astounding. Also, I get to go out to bars now that I'm 21. So that's pretty awesome too.

Also, we're going to try to get tickets to a taping of The Daily Show. How awesome would that be? Oh man!

I have eaten far too much in the past two days. Vacation is hell on my eating habits.

Ahahah the hitchhiker's guide trailer looks dope. I think the movie will be good. I suppose this means I should actually read the book, eh?

Justin Timberlake inducted The O'Jays into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last week. There's video of the ceremony, I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but I'm sure Justin was thrilled to have the opportunity. So here's that, with thanks to fuskeez and kirsch for the file:

I can't WAIT for Hittchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy to come out! It's gonna be fantastic. And you should definitely read the books! At least the first three.

Oh man, I can't read it. I just. It's just not right to me that COnnor and Murphy would ever share. I don't care how good the writer, I just can't (and don't want to) wrap my head around a pairing other than Connor/Murphy.

hahahaha, I totally get that, and actually this story didn't emphasise their relationship enough for me; it *did* emphasise it a *whole lot*, almost to an OTP extent, but not enough to hit that special C/M spot for me. What I liked about it, though, was the outsider's perspective (I have a massive 3rd party POV kink), and that said perspective came from a slightly different but also similar moral background. I'm very very interested in the ethical ramifications of BS and not many fics address that in a way that satisfies me; this one, to a certain extent, did. Plus just the idea of an Angel/BS crossover makes me very happy :-D
