Thanks to
digital_diva I have now seen the NSYNC/Tim McGraw Atlantis concert medley and it is fantastic. JC is such a fanboy! He's all over Tim and just smiling and generally looking elated and he doesn't move from his side even through everyone else does. I am all a-squee. I love them so much. The outfits! Clearly still the bedazzled era and Tim is wearing ripped wranglers as a nod to the boys' own style. And Lance's voice during Lean On Me *swoon* (I still miss his nose!) It's all very, very adorable and cute and happy making.
You have all seen this, correct? Because I've uploaded it incase any of you haven't and you really must. It's--I love my boys.

Congrats to everyone who got Challenge tickets this morning. I'm horribly jealous, but I know you guys will be posting the highlights for the rest of us. Take lots of pictures! Have lots of fun!
JC was on Britney's show Chaotic earlier this evening talking about sex and looking generally adorable funny. I haven't seen a direct feed version of it yet, so let me know if there is one but
dfloss88 shot a video of her tv and
fuskeez shared it so I'm re-sharing.
aelora for sharing/making the file.
You all remember that meme a while back? The one where you had to put your playlist on random and list the first 20 songs that came up? I want to do something similar. So here's the deal, if you leave a comment I will upload the first 5 songs that come on in iTunes for you. Sound fun? Who knows what the hell you'll get out of the deal, could be Bach, could be Dom and Elijah singing absolute nonsense.

[Michael Rosenbaum was on MTV Cribs last week (I think it was the 11th?) He was fabulous and you've probably all seen it but I uploaded it anyway. Highlights include MR dancing in his socks and working out in high heels. Much thanks toJC - Chaotic] -- avi, 10mb
I spoke too soon, raedoro capped it, so here's that version too (note: the first is slightly longer and has a bit of Britney finishing off the segment): [

It snowed here, like real honest-to-god-haven't-seen-it-in-years snow. It's cold, yo! California really does have it's advantages sometimes.
In other news: I know I've been pretty quiet on the lotrips love but Elijah Wood was on Ellen's show earlier and
eisakay put it up and I just couldn't resist. So here's that for anyone interested:
eisakay also put up the MTV Making the Video for Signs (Snoop and Justin's new song). I haven't watched it yet but I'm sure Justin is as awesome as ever if the video itself is anything to go by. (I should note that I've got the video up a couple entries back)

[In even further news: I need gloves. Also, I've discovered that going on a trip to New York with only my sister and father is both fun and slightly dissappointing considering our diverging tastes. I like modern art, weird off-broadway plays, and vintage/thrift stores, my sister likes major musicals, dislikes vintage anything, and my dad likes excruciatingly boring plays, while both like European Renaissance art and dislike modern. They didn't like the Guggenheim or wandering around Williamsburg while I rejoiced in the graffiti. We did go to the Metropolitan museum and just split up, their Modern gallery was pretty good, I would like to go see the MOMA if I can get away but I sincerely doubt that anything will ever live up to London's Tate Modern.Making the Video - Signs] -- avi, 195.08mb

New York is cold. It makes me wish I was in London.
I cut my hand on a bagel this morning (while cutting it really.) Quite unfortunate.
On the good though: H&M!!!! Oh man I am so glad to get to go shopping in NYC! San Francisco is getting a H&M in the fall but it's not soon enough. The shopping possibilities here are positively astounding. Also, I get to go out to bars now that I'm 21. So that's pretty awesome too.
Also, we're going to try to get tickets to a taping of The Daily Show. How awesome would that be? Oh man!
I have eaten far too much in the past two days. Vacation is hell on my eating habits.
Ahahah the hitchhiker's guide trailer looks dope. I think the movie will be good. I suppose this means I should actually read the book, eh?
Justin Timberlake inducted The O'Jays into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last week. There's video of the ceremony, I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but I'm sure Justin was thrilled to have the opportunity. So here's that, with thanks to

Recs copy-pasted from my recs journal (the poorly named)
anti_recs:
None So Blind by
pun. Master and Commander: Stephen/Jack. The M&C universe fascinates me, O'Brien was a really brilliant writer, and very specific in his character's voices, which is why it's so hard for fic writers to get it right. But
pun does it masterfully (excuse the bad-pun (omg another one!)), her voces were, I thought, spot on and while this is a fairly short story, I thought is was a great take one Jack and Stephen's dynamic.
Jeeves and the Blessed Indiscretion by
astolat. Jeeves and Wooster: Jeeves/Wooster. This was written for the Yuletide challenge this year, and someone on my flist recced it. Until then I hadn't any clue that Jeeves and Wooster fanfic even existed, but color me pleasantly surprised.
astolat is an incredibly talented writer in any fandom (her webpage is here) and Jeeves and Wooster is no exception. This story is perfectly Wodehouse in every turn of phrase. If you've ever picked up one of the Jeeves and Wooster books or seen the tv series you must read this story.
And the same thing goes for Wooster's School for Wayward Girls by
yahtzee63. Jeeves and Wooster: Jeeves/Wooster. This was also written for the yultide challenge and it too is brilliant.
I would now like to point out
flambeau at this point because she's the only other Jeeves and Wooster writer than I know of and her stories are also great. Webpage here.

[Tegan And Sara - Walking WIth a Ghost ] -- mp3. From Amazon's descrition of their album So Jealous: They are, yes, identical twin lesbians, and they do occupy the space--more like a vacuum, really--between the riot-grrl menace of Sleater-Kinney and the un-fun folk of Indigo Girls. This song is really fun, I like their sound a lot.
[The Killers - Somebody Told Me ] -- mp3. From Amazon's description of their debut album Hot Fuss: The Killers match postpunk guitars with an overlay of synthesizer that recalls '80s New Wave without burying their sound in nostalgia.
[The Killers - Mr. Brightside ] -- mp3.

TIMBERLAKE'S HEIMLICH HEROICSWho do you suppose the friend was? Anyone we know?
Justin Timberlake has been hailed a hero after saving a choking pal in a Los Angeles pool hall.
The hunk performed the life-saving Heimlich maneuver as his friend unsuccessfully fought to free a mouthful of peanuts trapped in his throat.
An onlooker says, "As his friend began to go purple, Justin gave him the Heimlich maneuver. It worked." found here

The new episode of Queer as Folk has been downloaded, and I'm watching Buffy right now. And, it's finally cooling off, only 54° out now, down from 92° earlier today. So life is pretty good. Plus, it's the end of the month and I've still got a ton of bandwidth so I've got some stuff to share.
First off, an old file, from December, it's Elijah on SNL pretending to be Jai from Queer Eye For the Straight Guy. I'm pretty sure I got it from
nuregwen but I'm not 100% sure on that so if you recognize it as yours let me know and I'll adjust the credit.
afropuff has inspired me.

When & Where: Minneapolis, MN. Sean's been rapping since way back, his first full length album was in 1997, but he's been doing 7" and shit for longer.
Why should I care? This guy started the hip hop scene in Minneapolis. His style is all over the place, from smooth and mellow to harder hip hop, but his lyrics are amazing throughout. And he's got an ego the size of texas, while still being the most self-depricating person ever. Take with a grain of salt and enjoy the irony.
If you like: Aesop Rock, the Living Legends try him.

It made me miss Ireland though, the accents! and I thought it was interesting that the houses in the movie looked so similar to the houses my cousins live in. But the slang, and the advertisements and well, the whole movie really, just made me yearn for Ireland and London as well. I don't think I'll ever be able to watch a movie set in Ireland or England again without missing everything.
