Whew. It took for-freaking-ever to get everything transfered over with rating and word counts and such but I am so, so pleased to announce that I've updated my recs website in a huge fashion. Now powered by wordpress, all of my recs are totally searchable by fandom, author, wordcount, ratings and more.

With over 340(!!!) stories to read, maybe you'll find some you've not read before; also I normally just rec stories as they come to me but I might be going back to rec some old favorites now that I've finished with the site update.

It's a new url too, so if you have bookmarks, delicious or otherwise, don't forget to update them!

Well after a pretty solid day of coding, I'm happy to announce the birth of an actual website for all my recs. Go look! It's pretty! And organized! (and only half completed!) Yay Me!

Once it's all finished the website is going to be updated in conjuction with my recs journal, [livejournal.com profile] anti_recs.

OMG I just spent the last 4 and a half hours of my life playing Sim City 2000 thanks to [livejournal.com profile] freedomfry and Macintosh Garden an old school mac game warehouse thing. So awesome! They have oregon trail and carmen sandiego and all the sim cities!

The party last night was pretty awesome. One of my good friends went as Axel Rose and because I couldn't find a single grey pleated skirt, I went for the porn star look instead, which really morphed into me as Tawny Kitaen (aka that chick from all those whitesnake videos.) It was awesome. I was Axel's girlfriend for the evening, and I was definitely rockin the MASSIVE hair and a shortshort skirt with a fucking awesome pair of black leather stiletto boots with really pointy toes and really high heels. Results of the evening: v. v. big hair, aching feet, much fun. Other "celebrities" seen: The gordon's fisherman, tom sellack, james joyce, suzie sioux, courtney love, wendy o, debbie harry, a pregant mrs. federline, prince charles and camilla, betty boop, and a bunch of other people I can't remember.

On the agenda tonight: more dancing and slighlty lower heeled shoes.

In fandom type news: I'm reccing The West Wing for [livejournal.com profile] crack_van in August. I've got some stories bookmarked and whatnot already, but I'mm going to have to brush up. Any of you have any suggestions?

Okay, I give up. I'm blaming [livejournal.com profile] wistfuljane for forcing me to do this implanting the idea in my head. An overview for the Star Wars RPS fandom. Please, please let me know if I should change anything. Add more people, links, facts. Also, if I've gotten anything wrong please let me know.

So, there are these movies that you've probably heard of: Star Wars. Hopefully you know that it's a series of 6 movies. There's the Original Trilogy (sometimes called the Classic Trilogy or the Imperial Trilogy):
Star Wars IV - A New Hope : Star Wars V - The Empire Strikes Back : Star Wars VI - Return of the Jedi
And the Prequels (aka the Republic Trilogy):
Star Wars I - The Phantom Menace : Star Wars II - Attack of the Clones : Star Wars III - Revenge of the Sith
The originals were made in the late 1970s and early 1980s while the prequels have only just been completed. Since this is an overview of the real people who starred in the films, I'll leave the movie explanations up to other people.

Oh man, you all have no idea (then again, you probably do) how hard it is not to click all these cut tags.

[livejournal.com profile] nancyrose: at work, everything on my desk needs to be in a certain place and i get irritated if it's not and i have to open all of our systems and windows in a particular order or i they will not be in the taskbar where i want them
[livejournal.com profile] theantimodel: hahahaha that rocks
[livejournal.com profile] theantimodel: it makes sense though
[livejournal.com profile] theantimodel: whenever I open camino (web browser)
[livejournal.com profile] theantimodel: I have to open all the usual tabs in the exact same order every thime or else it drives me nuts
[livejournal.com profile] nancyrose: hahahahahah yes
[livejournal.com profile] nancyrose: we are twins
[livejournal.com profile] theantimodel: yahoo uk, new tabs for any headlines I want to read, then I change yahoo uk for yahoo us with new tabs for any of those headlines
[livejournal.com profile] theantimodel: then my lj in the next tab (after all the news stories)
[livejournal.com profile] theantimodel: Then I open the next tab as my flist and use my journal page as my profile page (always the full one that shows comment counts)
[livejournal.com profile] theantimodel: and then I have to clock back to the last entry on my flist that I've read. Only then can I start reading the yahoo articles and closing those tabs until my profile is the first tab
[livejournal.com profile] nancyrose: mine has to be my email, 3 IE windows, one with lj, two for browsing, then windows media (if i'm listening to it) and my IM window must be on the far right or i get anxiety
[livejournal.com profile] nancyrose: ahahahahahah <333333333
[livejournal.com profile] theantimodel: i am EXTREMELY ocd about this, and ive never even realized it until now! omg I am mad
[livejournal.com profile] nancyrose: dude, you're ME!
[livejournal.com profile] theantimodel: no way you are ME!
[livejournal.com profile] nancyrose: i am too! and omg i have to have certain font sizes and colors
[livejournal.com profile] nancyrose: ahahahah yep
[livejournal.com profile] nancyrose: and the ppl at work are ALWAYS changing them, which makes me crazy. i get to work 10 minutes early just so i can set my shit up right!!!

We have decided that this makes us more effective workers, not just stark raving mad ljers.
