Well it appears that slash has overtaken my life. In the past two weeks, ever since finishing school, there have probably only been two nights that I have not stayed up until ungodly hours reading. And this is despite the fact that occasionally I actually had things to do in the morning. The moral of this story: don't read HP slash until 3AM if you have to babysit two kids who are currently complete horrors since their mother has ditched them to go to Europe for 6 weeks.
A rundown of the awesome stories I have been reading- all have been recc'd by
silver_and_gold. I find it funny that I am reccing a rec list.
In other multi-fandom news the great Rhysenn or
iscaris is having a birthday today. Happy Birthday Rhysenn! I'm loving the X2 slash!

... I just read the June 9th edition of US weekly. The cover story was entitled "Did the best man really win?" or some version thereof. However, instead of even bothering to interview Clay. It seems that they were mostly pimping Ruben. There was even some roundabout implications that Clay was trying to steal Ruben's fame. They even suggested that Clay had unfairly gotten to share Ruben's "spotlight" on the Today show.
This is all just going from memory but still... not cool US Weekly, not cool *shakes head*. Our boy deserved that title just as much (if not more) than Ruben.
Another interesting blurb in US: there was a sidebar entitled "Is Ruben's health at risk?" Their answer: yes. And then they reported that Ruben was hiring a trainer. And some nutritionist that US asked said he should do a low cal. soup and veggies sort of diet. THe dude also said that even loosing 35 pounds would significantly increase his health. Although I myself am not a nutritionist or a physical trainer, I would guess that he would probably need to loose a little more than 35 lbs. to be healthy. However, I suppose that every amount does help.
