Joe Firstman cd and for anyone who hasn't heard of him, go call your record store ask if they've got his cd, it's only 11 bucks and if you've got AIM I can send you a few songs to sample. Seriously, this guy is good, really good, he's all piano and guitar and mellow bluesy rock with awesome lyrics.
And might I say I have never been more bummed in my entire life that I'm not 21 yet. Joe is playing less than an hour away from my house on Thursday and its a 21 and Over show. Which is understandable, more fun blah blah, but still, no fair. I don't even drink but does that matter? Nope, it sure doesn't.
Also, I had a dream about him like a week ago, which cracks me up because at that point I had only heard one of his songs and had no clue what he looked like, I just knew that I was at school and Joe was there with his guitar singing and playing while sitting on a ladder. I just love that he was in my dream based only on the fact that a couple people on my friends list gush about him.
Another cd I bought: BT's Emotional Technology. He's this really cool DJ who does a pretty good variety of underground club stuff. And he is also really amazing. And he's so wee and cute! Look he's here in this Apple Powerbook video. And double yay, not only is it BT it's my tiny new computer. Quick, go look at the pretty!
I still feel weird for rambling about new cd's since these are probably the first cd's I have actually bought in at least four months and before that it had been at least 7 or 8 more months. I just don't buy music, unless it's someone who I really really want to support.
Also,
ethrosdemon, if you're reading this, I just burned you a bunch of cd's and I'm gonna tackling my video tapes tomorrow, so you'll definitely be getting a package sometime.
Oh and I almost forgot GIP (uh, minus the gratuitous part, cause y'know I kinda had some stuff to say with this post)
nancyrose made me this awesome icon. Which I just love to pieces cause yes, tin is the new black. And because one of my friends put a colander on his head a few days ago in an incident completely separate from the Domlijah tinhats.
