So I've been not updating in the past few days in a self induced guiltfest for saying that I would stay away from lj while writing my paper. But in true me fashion, I did nothing but faff around on lj and The One Wank all this week. But! I didn't post so, thats something right? However, now I've finished my 6 page paper on Jonathan Lethem's The Fortress of Solitude (which is a good book, but a bitch to analyze for a history class). And! I prepared and gave a speech on Genetically Modified Organisms (which might someday become a post, anyone want to hear about GMOs?). With al; that out of the way though, I'm done with school until Tuesday and I can use the internet and watch Buffy guilt free!

Er, moving away from my abuse of exclamation marks. I get all freaked out every time livejournal changes things. I think it will take me a bit to get used to looking at the new user info/friends list thing. But I like being able to tell my friends from the communities I have friended, so that's kind of cool I guess.

-The wank inspired what seems like ten million icons, if anyone's interested I made a few crappy semi-humorous, not work safe icons that are up here. All of the HEDS PASTEDE ON YAY variety.

Also, in case anyone hasn't seen these yet, I've got mpegs of JC's interview on the Wayne Brady Show today and of JC and Tony Singing Catch Me. Please right click and save, and don't direct link the files. A big thank you to [livejournal.com profile] eisakay for the files.

-I really really love this song. Just had to say that.

-- I saw Intermission today, (for free!) and I thought it was a really good movie. It made me miss Ireland though, the accents! and I thought it was interesting that the houses in the movie looked so similar to the houses my cousins live in. But the slang, and the advertisements and well, the whole movie really, just made me yearn for Ireland and London as well. I don't think I'll ever be able to watch a movie set in Ireland or England again without missing everything.

--My mom bought me Andy Serkis' Gollum book the other day, which was so cool and completely unexpected. I guess she saw it in the bookstore and just decided to get it for me, no occasion necessary. This reminds me, a lot of you weren't on my friendslist back in October, and since I'm always up for a little gloating, this is the story of how I met Andy and he bought me a drink.
