Comment if you want me to ask you guys questions. Questions from [livejournal.com profile] ethrosdemon:

1. What's hit your fl lately that you think is totally lame but keep to yourself?
Three weeks ago I would have said Stargate Atlantis. I hated that acronym and the fact that half the good writers on my flist were spending inordinate amounts of time writing about characters I did not want to read about. Currently though? I'm pretty happy with the friendslist content. I'm sure there'll be something new and obnoxious in another 3 weeks though.

2. If you could get away with it, what crime would you commit?
Right now I'm really wishing I could hack the Law School Admissions Council and alter my LSAT score but I don't think that's thinking big enough for a crime I'd never get punished for. I'd probably go with some sort of large scale theft. Heists always look fun in the movies.

3. What do you wish internal combustion engines could run off of?
Water. Or possibly air. Something completely renewable with negligible environmental impact.

4. Butter or margerine?
Margarine. The vegan expeller-pressed oils kind with no trans-fats and no hydrogenated oils. Because when it comes down to it, I'm kind of a hippy.

5. Do you speak or read any languages besides English (Klingon or morse code would work)?
I took five years of French and all I've got to show for it was a failing grade on the AP test and a couple bizarre French songs about girls turning into boys and masquerade parties.

Questions from [livejournal.com profile] saturn92103:

1) What's one non-negotiable trait a romantic partner must have?
A political outlook similar to mine. I honestly can't compromise on that. I don't think it would matter who they were. If Joe Flanigan showed up on my doorstep tomorrow--well, I'd be all about the sex, but there's no way I could ever have a relationship with him if he thought homeless people deserved to be homeless and cops should be able to shoot whoever they want.

2) What's the most overrated TV show currently on the air?
Heh. Reality anything would be the easy answer but I think I'll go with Lost. I watched it last year but the writers--well, lost me when they continued to drag out every single mystery and event without even a hint of resolution.

3) If you could go back and witness one historical event, what would you choose?
Oh wow. Ten million possibilities have just lept into my mind. If I could go back and participate in any historical event I'd probably choose to be part of the freedom rides. But going back to witness a historical event I'm more tempted to choose the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. Seeing Martin Luther King Jr. give that speech in person would be amazing.

4) If you could make a difference as an activist for one cause, what would you pick?
They're all really tied together in my head but I guess maybe I'd choose to continue to fight for a media not controlled by corporations and conservative interests. The media have an amazing amount of control over public thought and I'd like to think that making a difference there would help make a difference in other places too.

5) What's your favorite song from the 80's?
Crap. I don't know if I could really pick one but my biggest 80's music guilty pleasure has to be [ Starship - We Built This City ] Last week it came on my iPod on random right when I was driving onto the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco (which is the city the song is about) I swear my iPod is thought sensitive. (which, now that I'm thinking about it, would make a cool Ancient device in SGA a thought/mood controlled music player going haywire and broadcasting rodney's thoughts at embarrassing times would rock.)
