I completed 4 of the 6 required pages for my research proposal last night between the hours of 12:30 and 3am. And then I woke up at 8 to get ready for class. *stabs self* I hate that I procrastinate like this. However, some of my procrastination time was fruitful, I wrote Christmas Cards to almost all of the people who wanted them. So I should be able to post them all by Friday. In related card news,
giddyupnow and
eclipses: I got your cards! Thank you! (note to giddy: I've been listening to the Raiders of the Lost Ark soundtrack all morning :D) Also, if anyone else wants a card and you haven't given me your address, go fill out the poll, ok?
Also, since I seem to be incapable of posting something without adding a musical element. Here's one I've been meaning to talk about for a while now. You know those songs that just, define, a time period for you? That's what this is to me. I have multiple memories of seeing this song's video on MTV, they didn't play it much but it was a buzzhit for a little while in 1996. I was still fairly new to mtv, and pretty young, but man, this song just hooked me for some reason. I remember that the singer was sitting on a streetcorner smoking a cigarette in the video. Anyway, this song defines my 90's alternative music tastes and I lost track of it for a while until I got it stuck in my head completely randomly two years ago. It took me forever to find the song on Acquisition. I like to remind myself about this song every now and then.
