Norman Reedus (of the infamous Boondock Saints) is in an indie film called Nobody needs To Know and the filmmaker licensed it under Creative Commons and has it up on legal torrents. Seriously guys, Creative Commons licenses are such a good step towards more sensible intellectual property laws (or they're at least raising the level of debate.) It's really growing and should definitely be supported. The Supreme Court is deciding a case right now about file sharing and Grokster. I know I'm not necessarily a strict law obeyer in terms of pirated media but the technology doesn't just exist so that people can steal shit, and it's really important that it be able to continue existing because it really does benefit independent artists in a huge way. So yeah. Go download this movie. And give the EFF some money while you're at it because they're representing those Grokster guys.
