Also, I forgot to say that one of the things that often comes up in this discussion. I've heard people dismiss the idea of answering feedback because "you don't send a thank you note in reply to a thank you note." I don't buy that. Although I've had people say "thank you for writing/sharing this story," I'm a storyteller and for me the feedback is like applause for a musician or people throwing pennies into a hat back in the days when the storyteller sat down in the marketplace. So yes, I do thank them. I do not however, expect them to thank me for thanking them because that IS like thanking someone for a thank you note.
