+ Today is October 22, the National Day of Protest to Stop Police Brutality, Repression, and the Criminalization of a Generation. Since 1990 over 2,000 people in the US have been killed by law enforcement, this doesn't include the thousands more that have been victims of police brutality and mistreatment inside the prison system. I'd like to urge you all to check out Octobber22.org and the Stolen Lives Project.

+ In other news, I'm cleaning my kitchen because it's absolutely disgusting. Seriously, we have a dishwasher. If you're going to go to the trouble of putting your dishes in the sink isn't it just as easy to put them in the dishwasher? It's half a foot away from the sink. I swear to god I'm going to break down and strangle useless!roommate someday soon. The boy cooks eggs every morning, leaves the pan with egg bits on the stove when he's done, and leaves his dishes in the sink every. single. day. He doesn't even rinse them off in the sink he just puts them in there and then piles more on the next day. Hate hate hate hate hate it.

+ I pimped [livejournal.com profile] justpopemotion yesterday, and today I'm going to pimp the NSYNC mix I made for it. The entry is here, tell me what you think!

+ Random tv babbling:

Smallville spoilers cut )

Lost babbling )

+ Books: I've been reading Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials series. I'm borrowing them from the 8 year old I babysit. She read all three of them in like, a week and a half, I swear she's brilliant. As are the books. I've always loved the idea of multiple worlds/realities and these books are so complex! If you haven't read them and you're into fantasy/adventure type books I definitely recommend them.
