end of the month bandwidth party

The new episode of Queer as Folk has been downloaded, and I'm watching Buffy right now. And, it's finally cooling off, only 54° out now, down from 92° earlier today. So life is pretty good. Plus, it's the end of the month and I've still got a ton of bandwidth so I've got some stuff to share.

First off, an old file, from December, it's Elijah on SNL pretending to be Jai from Queer Eye For the Straight Guy. I'm pretty sure I got it from [livejournal.com profile] nuregwen but I'm not 100% sure on that so if you recognize it as yours let me know and I'll adjust the credit.
[ Elijah on SNL ] -- mov, 9mb
Another old one, but one of my favorite Justin files ever, is from his performance with Al Green for the Down Home in Memphis tv special. He just looks so incredibly happy to be onstage singing with Al Green, I can't help but love him a little bit more everytime I watch this. I have no clue where I got this, since it's fairly prolific.
[ Let's Stay Together ] -- mpg, 58mb
I've also got the Dieux du Stade making of DVD bootleg (aka hot naked rugby players) )up, it's a large file, so this is a big experiment for me to see about bandwidth, and if my hosts actually live up to their 25gb/month promise, so feel free to download, I'd just really appreciate a comment if you do.
[ mmm naked rugby players ] -- realmedia file, 229mb
Finally, I recced Atmosphere a while back in my music recs post and I'm going to do it again with mp3s, because [livejournal.com profile] afropuff has inspired me.

Group/Singer: Atmosphere
When & Where: Minneapolis, MN. Sean's been rapping since way back, his first full length album was in 1997, but he's been doing 7" and shit for longer.
Why should I care? This guy started the hip hop scene in Minneapolis. His style is all over the place, from smooth and mellow to harder hip hop, but his lyrics are amazing throughout. And he's got an ego the size of texas, while still being the most self-depricating person ever. Take with a grain of salt and enjoy the irony.
If you like: Aesop Rock, the Living Legends try him.

Songs:
[ The Woman With the Tattooed Hands ] [ Party for the Fight to Write ] [ The Bass and the Movement ] [ Vampires ] [ Free or Dead ]
edit 4-30-04: Dieux Du Stade and other video files removed.

Party For The Fight To Write gets stuck in my head all the time, it is insidious.

Me too! But I love it, the part about sheep and television gets stuck in my head constantly but it's such a good song that I won't stop listening to it.
