west wing, book poll

cali: (the men behind the man)
Useless!roommate is watching what I suspect to be a Disney Channel production called Airborne. It features appearances by incredibly young Jack Black and Seth Green, and is about, of all things, rollerblading. I gave up after ten minutes because the movie sucks. There's this California "surfer dude" who loves surfing so much that he had to bring is board with him to Cincinatti. The shot of the surfboard coming off the plane totally unwrapped and unprotected is completely ridiculous though. NO ONE would EVER check a surfboard without any cover on it. And yet we are supposed to believe that this hardcore surf kid loves his board so much he can't part with it? The guy playing the surfer must have been a fan of JC's Wipeout. Or possibly Disney just used the old MMC skit writers. God. California stereotypes (and unrealistic movie details) kill me.

Um. Well that was an unexpected rant. The point was that my roommate is using the tv so I can't watch Smallville yet. Very upsetting. I did however, watch The West Wing. As I said in [livejournal.com profile] saturn92103's journal: CJ was wonderful and totally beleivable and I just loved that Leo saw something in her that made her his choice. I really hope we get some screentime of Leo and CJ actually talking at some point. This is one of the better episodes I've seen in a long time, they need to keep making shows like this, where the focus is on the actual West Wing staff not the president. As much as I love Bartlett and Martin Sheen, the heart of the show is in the senior staff plotlines. If they keep this up I'll be a very happy fan.

And now: a poll.

[Poll #382354]
Also. If you haven't filled out my holiday card poll, go do it! I want to send you things!

Wait, so the post-S4 seasons get not irritating? I gave up on Season 5 because everyone was just irritating all the time and it didn't make me go "I must watch 5 more episodes tonight" every time I watched one.
