cali: (Teen Girl Squad by goat_song)
All right guys the internet is failing me. I am BORED. I need new music. Anything I LOVE weird, unknown stuff and lately I've been on an Irish/Celtic kick. I'm thinking about getting a tattoo or piercing my lip or something. Um. Those two actually have nothing to do with each other but yes. I am bored and I can't find anything to bittorrent or read. Inspire me! Anyone want icons? I'm in the mood to make some, any fandom any picture. For that matter does anyone want anything else? This should be considered a standing offer I will upload anything you want (like say, the first ten episodes of House) if anyone's interested.

I'd go outside but it's fucking raining and I got SOAKED on the way home from school. (note to others: the fact that it is not raining "all that hard" when you leave for class does not mean that it won't start raining once you're there.) I had to strip down in my hallway and make a run for the bathroom towels because I was dripping water EVERYWHERE. That kind of sucked.

i`m bored too, the class im at sucks!

maybe i can distract you, i am looking for this song, the girls looks like Amy Lee, and the video starts in the XVI century or something like that and finished in 2000. Is this couple and has problems, she is in love with a friend of her husband and they are lovers, in each period.

I dont know the lyric, only some parts like "cause you are the only one i feel (or see), everything`s changing", "that i`m losing control"

its such a beautiful song and i have seen the video and this channel doesnt display the names of the artist or the songs :(

difficult right?

What exactly is House about?

OMG your icon! So cool!

House is like, the coolest medical drama thing ever. Hugh Laurie (the guy in my icon and one of my favorite actors ever) plays the Doctor who basically solves medical mysteries and is snarky all at the same time. It's.. well [livejournal.com profile] pun describes it best here but it's probably my favorite tv show of the season because it's so damned smart. And the characters are interestingly broken and dimensional.

Hrm...anything else you got, other than House? As I already have said episodes and watch them far too often.

Irish/Celtic music...Barrage, Riverdance, Cherish the Ladies, Connie Dover, Leahy, and twenty or so songs from various other artists - anything sound interesting?
[identity profile] theantimodel.livejournal.com wrote:

All of the music sounds interesting. Hmmm, I've got the new episode of Las Vegas, the last three episodes of Smallville, JC's appearance on the most recent episode of Scooby Doo, the Firefly gagreel, and the unaired pilot episode of Buffy where Willow is not Allyson Hannigan, and I have lots of music.

The Celtic music is on its way. Big zip, too. Only packed in the albums, because they're the easiest.

How about...send me any of your music that you really, really, really like pimping out. Anything.

Tangentially, I've been craving new instrumental movie soundtracks - I love to study to them, but need fresh blood every now and then. Do you have any of the following: Return of the King, HP & Chamber of Secrets, any others whatsoever?
[identity profile] theantimodel.livejournal.com wrote:

Thank you!

Let's see, I've got Raiders of the Lost Ark, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and The Triplets of Belleville which is not completely instrumental. Also in the non-instrumental category I've got Almost Famous, Rushmore, and The Royal Tenenbaums.

Ooooh, Raiders, please!

Has the download gone through? YSI seems to be hating on me tonight - it timed out, so I wasn't sure...

Cool, I'll upload Raiders as soon as the House files I'm uploading go through. I hate that YSI doesn't have some sort of progress tracker, it's quite frustrating.

If you told YSI to email me I haven't gotten an email yet, so...no?

Damn, you're good! The music was one of the reasons why I loved that show so much. And yeah, the album rules. Amazon peeps gave it a 5/5.

Huge thanks!

Must admit, am incredibly bored myself. As for music... You only interested in irish/celtic? Or shall I shamelessly pimp others like Hawksley Workman or David Usher and countless others?

And if you get a tattoo, that would just be amazing. You would officially "rock my socks" as it is known. Whoo.
[identity profile] theantimodel.livejournal.com wrote:
Feb. 16th, 2005 01:51 am (UTC)
No no pimp anything and everything!

I've already got two tattoos but I've been feeling sort of restless lately, like I want a tattoo or something I've been thinking about peircing my lip too maybe. If I get a tattoo I want to get a shamrock or the Irish harp or maybe my name or my middle name (flanagan which is v. v. irish) or maybe both. Also I have this burning desire to get veritas aequitas tattoos.

I'm uploading the first two episodes as I type, so and will be adding the rest as internet speeds permit. It's a REALLY great show, I think you'll love it. Honestly? I haven't been this excited about a tv show since the West Wing was good. Like, I was antsy all yesterday in preparation for a new episode tonight.

Hmm. I'd like to try House out--and if you could tell/give me the two episodes that would hook me most, I'd watch them. (The slashy doctor and the one guy he's nice to sounds interesting.) *g* Now, as far as Celtic music, I have several you might like, so I'll send them tonight or tomorrow.

I just found the most obscure CD I own, a single by a French group called Manau that an old French penpal sent me several years ago, and ripped the tracks. I'm not sure how interested you might be, but the music is like... French rap with Celtic melodies. It's weirdly cool. You have to hear it to believe it.

That's all I have, unfortunately, 'cause it was just a single. Fantastic sound though, hey? I've never tried to search for more, but they appear to have a website with some extracts from other songs.
