Because evidently I don't post enough.

I am leaving for England in exactly one week.

I will be living in London for the next three months and I am completely scared. At this point it's like what the heck am I thinking moving to a country where I don't know anyone except my History Professor?

Also, Collectormania? This is me begging here. I am going. I am going to book a Hotel room. I have no one to room with. Anyone, please, if you need a roommate for this let me know, I am desperate.

Man, I am going to miss you guys. Also, a Public Service Announcement. Starting next week I will probably be posting about my RL and how my trip is going. I am still not sure how much internet I'll have so I don't know how much fandom stuff I'll be able to keep up on. This means that my journal might not be terribly fandom-oriented although you never know....

I have a lot of pairs of shoes but I wear about two pairs on a regular basis. My mother and sister love shoes so I just get cast-offs. I do love my calf-lenght boots, though. I will wear those until they fall apart off my ankles.


And good luck for the trip! I'm sure you'll be having a great time before you know it. I mean, Collectormania for a start! Just enjoy your time over there and live it up.

Shoes are my biggest vice. I have like twenty pair of sandals, which will prove completely useless in London, but oh well.

Have a great time in London! I lived there for 6 months, going to school there, when I was 22 and had a wonderful time. You'll make friends just fine, and there is so much to see and do.

I had a look at the where to stay section on the collectormania site - http://www.collectormania.com/wheretostay.html - and the Holiday Inn looks good. It's close and it's cheap. £25 per room per night, I believe.

humm... my wonderful friend [livejournal.com profile] hobbitfanatic went last year, and to my knowledge is going again this year. She was lucky enough to have personally meet Billy (again) and Dom about two weeks ago... lucky cow. I'm sure she would love to meet up with you.

Hey, just randomly passed over your journal.

I'm 17, and I moved a whole continent for schooling purposes, and when I was leaving I had plenty of self-doubt and ph34r. But now that I'm four months into it, I've realised that it's the best decision I could possibly have made, and I've learnt so much from the new culture and my new friends.

You will make new friends, and you will enjoy your life there, particularly in London. How wonderfully British! Mree hee.

Aha! So that is why I recognize your name. I read that post during the blogathon, and I even added it to my memories. I found it to be very useful, for instance the whole gift for the host family thing? I never would have thought of that. Heh, also, my lazy ass read the part about doing dishes and being helpful and went "bleh, yuk, I am not helpful, will they really expect me to be helpful?" However I will try to work on that because I think you are right.
