comics exchange?

I've been reading a lot of trade paperback comics lately and two things have come to my attention a) they're fucking awesome and b) they're fucking expensive. So I've been pondering the idea of some sort of fannish comics lending community. For instance: I have volumes 1-4 of preacher and I'm interested in reading Watchmen, if there was some sort of community where I could post what I'm looking for and also what I have to lend, maybe I could find someone who'd be interested in doing a (temporary) trade. Like a book borrowing club or something. Obviously there could be some problems, operating on the honor system, with not getting your books back, but I don't know how big of a problem it could be. Would anyone be interested in something like that? Or do you have any ideas about how it could be done better?

Many comics are easily downloadable via bittorren: Preacher, Transmet, Sandman, Watchmen, Stormwatch, Authority, then usual superheroes, etc etc. There's a great program called Comics Display that lets you read them on the computer, and most scans are quite high-quality.
