There are people in this world who have restraint; Ewan's not one of them. He doesn't actually know many people who do have restraint, but he's heard that there are people like this out in the world. People who can take command of their actions and their brain and be in charge. Ewan's not that keen on that sort of anal behaviour. He'd much rather enjoy himself in the here and now, and plus, Hayden's hat's just sitting on his head, backwards. Filthy American habit that one. No one should wear their hats backwards. Ewan should sort that out for Hayden -- the poor boy has enough issues just getting himself dressed in the morning.
And the thing that is the minute Ewan gives in to the Dark Side -- err, the miunte he just lets himself go and knock Hayden's hat off his head -- he realises he made a mistake. Not because he regrets what he did -- please, he's not English -- but because when Hayden turns around and gives him this huge shit-eating grin, Ewan realises that he can't blame it on anyone else.
He should've waited until there were more people around and then really embarassed Hayden. Maybe next time he'll snog him in public -- that should do nicely.
